Message from Mayor Tom Hanafan

This will mark the second season that Bayliss Park will be without one of its major attractions, the spectacular and graceful fountain.

The Daily Nonpareil and other media have told the sad story of the dormant fountain and its impact on the entire community. Citizens have contacted my office and other city officials expressing their concerns and their willingness to join in an effort to restore this treasure to our central park.

With significant public input, a community advisory group has worked diligently to create an action plan for building an exciting new fountain and also adding other enhancements for citizens of all ages.

I hope that every citizen will now help fulfill this vision for the Bayliss Park of the 21st century.
